Hynes Completes Record-Breaking Season

Minneapolis, Minn. – Kate Hynes wrapped up her 2006-07 season this afternoon by placing 32nd in the nation on the 3-meter springboard at the NCAA Women's Swimming and Diving Championships at the University of Minnesota. Hynes, who set new school and conference marks this season, also finished 26th in the nation in the 1-meter event.
Hynes earned 285.10 points in the preliminary contest and did not advance to the finals. Cassidy Krug of Stanford, who earned a national title yesterday on the 1-meter springboard, returned today to place first in the 3-meter preliminary round with 372.90 points. The finals will begin at 7 p.m.
